Ted Nugent will play at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Friday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. The Detroit guitarist's homecoming show was announced on March 30.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 3 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase them at 313Presents.com, LiveNation.com, TedNugent.com and Ticketmaster.com.

The Motor City Madman picked up his first guitar around age five. He was inspired by Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley.

The Amboy Dukes single "Journey to the Center of the Mind" was a hit. As a solo artist, his career went into overdrive.

Hits like "Cat Scratch Fever," "Free for All," and "Stranglehold" brought him international fame. The rock star has sold more than 40 million albums and performed over 6,900 live shows.

Readers of MLive named the musician Detroit's Greatest Guitar Player of All Time. He's earned a permanent place in rock & roll history as a guitar-shredding showman.

The July 10 concert will mark a return home for the Detroit native. More information is available at tednugent.com.
