The Detroit Auto Show opens Tuesday at Huntington Place. It runs 11 days. Twenty-seven brands will be there, and Ford will show off a new Bronco variant. Ford Motor Co. plans to unveil the truck Monday at a media gathering called "Detroit Proud: Off-Road Edition."

Jan. 14-25 marks the dates. This year is the 119th time the show has happened. Media and industry professionals can attend on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the public will be allowed to start attending on Friday.

Sam Klemet runs the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and the show. He said the gathering will have "two weeks full of celebrity and notable individual appearances," as shared by Crain's Detroit. Organizers brought in influencers like Cristy Lee, who owns the MotorCity Built interior design studio and garage.

About 2,000 media members have signed up. Five more brands joined compared to last year.

A new Michigan Overland Adventure exhibit will display trucks and SUVs built for rough ground and long trips. Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Jeep, Ram, Toyota, INEOS, Subaru, and AEV are bringing vehicles.

The Visit Detroit Interactive Experience offers activities when the public arrives. The Michigan Science Center, Code 313, and Pit Lane Sim Racing teamed up to create this hands-on section for families, which has a Power Wheels track presented by Jeep and Ram.

Former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg speaks Tuesday. He'll give the keynote for the Mobility Global Forum's first day. The forum takes place Tuesday and Wednesday at Huntington Place.

Robin Thicke performs at the Charity Preview on Friday. Detroit rapper Trick Trick and DJ Rimarkable will also play at the fundraiser, which has brought in more than $125 million since 1976.

The show is also the last stop for a cross-country exhibition marking Route 66's 100th anniversary.

Public hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Jan. 17-24 and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 25. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $15 for ages 65 and older, and $10 for ages 3-12. Admission is free for children under the age of 2. A family pass for two adults and three children costs $60.
