The Detroit Auto Show will feature a new Visit Detroit Interactive Experience at this year's event. It happens in the Atrium of Huntington Place, as per Fox 2 Detroit.
The experience brings together science, technology, and activities kids can try themselves. The Michigan Science Center will present real-world science concepts and engineering ideas. Code 313 will offer coding and problem-solving, plus augmented reality and virtual reality-based technician training. Pit Lane Sim Racing will show the performance and precision behind motorsports through simulation racing.
A Jeep and Ram Power Wheels track will give kids of all ages a chance to participate. All guests can access the interactive experience.
"This activation is about planting seeds," said Todd Szott, 2026 Detroit Auto Show Chair, as reported by Fox 2 Detroit. "We want kids and students to walk in, get their hands on technology, feel the excitement of innovation, and start to imagine themselves as engineers, designers, coders, technicians, or entrepreneurs. If we can inspire even a fraction of them to explore a future in the auto industry, that's a win for Detroit and for the industry as a whole."
The show is open to the public from Jan. 17-25. Tickets are available now.
