Antidote will open at 14628 E. Jefferson Avenue in Detroit's East Village neighborhood on Jan. 19, owner Nya Marshall says, according to Patch. The Spanish-themed restaurant sits along Jefferson Avenue near the Detroit-Grosse Pointe Park border. It occupies the former home of Norma G's.
Diners will find mussels steamed in cider with chorizo. Marinated leeks with saffron-garlic beurre blanc appear on the menu too. So does Catalan-style cod. Marshall says Antidote draws from Spanish cooking traditions while incorporating flavors from around the world, including Mediterranean influences, as per Patch.
Marshall is a Detroit entrepreneur who founded Ivy Kitchen + Cocktails. The new spot has been doing a soft opening before the grand opening later this month.
Wine selections span across Europe, the Americas, and other regions. Marshall said the spot also features a cocktail program that includes a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Antidote will offer brunch and dinner service. There's also a space for private dining. You can find more information via their website.
