Downriver towns have splashed murals across their streets, as per News-Herald. These art corridors catch the eye during winter drives. Allen Park, Wyandotte, Trenton, and Grosse Ile now display large works on brick buildings that line their main streets. All of the following information about the fun murals comes from News-Herald.

Allen Park wrapped up eight murals through Paint The Park along Allen Road. Kevin Burdick created a Detroit Lions design on Alexander's Dry Cleaners. Zach Curtis honored the Ford Mustang on Nexgen Insurance. Ouizi covered Prestige Banquet Hall with flowers.

More artists joined in. Naomi Haverland worked at NutsNow, Beau Stanton at Haddix Electric, Kitsune Jolene at Tuccini Orthodontic Lab, Kelly Golden at Metropolitan Furniture, and Rick Malt at Comix Oasis. You can walk the whole downtown area to see them all.

Wyandotte displays Chief Hen Tah at 1465 Fort Street—Chris Devins painted it back in 2017. This piece links today's city with its Indigenous roots. FEL3000ft made The Dotte, which looks like a postcard and uses graphics to show off the town.

Trenton installed pieces by Naomi Haverland near the Trenton School of Dance. Beau Stanton painted along RiverTown Tavern. Kevin Burdick's Unravel Your Imagination appeared at the Trenton Village Theater in November. The Trenton Downtown Development Authority worked with the Detroit Institute of Arts on a project after surveying residents in August 2025.

Grosse Ile runs the Art on the Île Initiative through its Downtown Development Authority, bringing murals, sculptures, and painted crosswalks to Macomb Street. Camilo Pardo created his work at the Hardware Store. Jesse Kassel painted at Lloyd's Bar & Grill. Beau Stanton added his touch at Zubke's Plumbing.

In Southgate, flowers painted on Cada's Hair Studio started arguments about ordinances and code enforcement. The fuss demonstrated how towns control murals through zoning and signage laws.

Most downtown districts give you free parking in municipal lots or along main corridors like Allen Road, Biddle Avenue, West Jefferson, and Telegraph. Weekends work best—lots stay emptier and traffic thins out.
