Columbus County Park sits at 1670 Bauman Road. Its big hill opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 7:45 p.m. Lights come on when the sun sets, letting kids sled after dark if weather allows. Warm spells can shut it down when snow melts away.

East China Park runs along 701 Recor Road. It has a sledding hill with a snow-maker. The 80-plus-acre space lets people cross-country ski and snowshoe too.

Goodells County Park sprawls across 366 acres at 8345 County Park Drive. You can sled there. Trails wind through open spaces where skiing and snowshoeing happen.

Palmer Park at 2829 Armour Street has sledding and an outdoor ice rink. Port Huron Parks and Recreation Department loans skates and sleds at no cost during business hours—8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

McMorran Place Plaza Ice Rink sits at 701 McMorran Boulevard in downtown Port Huron. This lighted rink costs nothing to use, and skate rentals at the McMorran Pro Shop won't charge you a dime.
