Livingston County is one of Michigan's Top Workplaces, according to the Detroit Free Press. Livingston County has been recognized for four years running now. Research firm Energage ran an employee engagement survey that determined the winners.
The survey gauges how satisfied workers feel about their jobs and measures how well the organization functions.
More than 700 people work across 18 departments, 5 elected offices, and 5 courts within the county. They deliver services that aim to boost quality of life for area residents.
Energage collected responses after staff answered questions about their workplace. Winners got picked based strictly on what employees said. The recognition zeroes in on what employees think about their employer, not on outside measurements or fancy statistics.
Four years straight with this designation shows something: the county keeps its work environment solid year after year.
Those interested in working there can check out current job openings. The county keeps looking for candidates to fill positions throughout its operations.
