Clinton Township will shut down several roads through 2026, as per Macomb Daily. Crews plan to replace aging infrastructure. Elizabeth Road won't allow through traffic between Dunham Road and Hall Road until Nov. 26. Workers are swapping out a culvert over a natural watercourse south of Brywood Court.

Hayes Road Bridge spans the Clinton River north of Utica Road. It stays shut through December while crews fix it up. The Hayes Road and Utica Road intersection? That's open now. But the bridges and Utica Road from the Utica Road bridge to Metropolitan Parkway remain blocked off during construction.

Utica Road bridge crosses the Red Run Drain. This one's also closed through December for repairs. The section of Utica Road between Hayes Road and Metropolitan Parkway will be inaccessible during this same stretch.

Fourteen Mile Road between Kelly Road and Gratiot Avenue keeps one westbound lane open. Eastbound traffic? Closed through November. The work covers road repairs in both the township and Roseville.

Every business and property will stay accessible throughout these projects. Drivers should stick to posted detours and plan different routes when they can.

McKishnie Street reconstruction will keep the road open at all times. This lets residents get in and out of the subdivision. The work belongs to the Macomb County Department of Roads' 2025 subdivision preservation program and continues through November.

Washington Township will see Powell Road blocked between 30 and a half Mile Road and 32 Mile Road through July 2026. Why? Reconstruction. Drivers should take posted detours on Van Dyke Avenue, M-53, and Romeo Plank Road.

Other projects in Macomb County include Ten Mile Road work in Warren and Center Line through November. Thirty-two Mile Road Bridge over Highbank Creek in Lenox Township and Richmond Township will be closed while crews replace the bridge superstructure through November.

The Clinton River Trail west of the Macomb Orchard Trail and Dequindre Road has been shut down. A washout in Rochester caused the problem. The trail between Letica Drive and 24 Mile Road in Shelby Township stays closed through Dec. 31. Workers are putting in a new 96-inch water transmission main.
