A new food destination will transform the current Treat Dreams site in Ferndale. The Pavilion, set to open in 2026, marks the city's first venture into the food hall concept.

The Woodward Avenue location will keep its sweet spot while adding five fresh vendors. Scott Moloney, Treat Dreams owner, shared per The Detroit News, "It will be one part street market, one part pop-up space with a 40-person pop-up space in the rear of the store."

TV chef Josie Clemens brings star power to the mix. The Detroit native, known from "Hell's Kitchen" and Food Network appearances, plans unique fusion dishes and soul food burritos. Fellow "Hell's Kitchen" contestant Jared Bobkin will craft Asian-inspired fare, specializing in handmade dumplings.

A fresh take on drinks comes from Cosmic Roots, where musician Emily Infinity and plant expert Isabel Cali mix up alcohol-free kava drinks, plant-based concoctions, and craft coffee. St. Clair Shores' food truck sensation Papelon will set up too, serving Venezuelan arepas. "They have popped up at Urbanrest before and they have a great following in Ferndale," Moloney noted.

The sixth spot focuses on tacos with twists.

Before the grand opening, special events will fill the calendar. Food fans can catch Gina Onyx's Komodo Kitchen pop-up this November 7-8, 2025. Plans also include themed menus that pay tribute to classic TV shows and comfort cooking.

The space aims for a casual beach feel. "We're not going to take ourselves too seriously," Moloney said. Meanwhile, ice cream lovers can still get their fix - Treat Dreams stays open through the changes at 22965 Woodward in Ferndale.
