A mix of seafood and street art filled downtown Trenton last weekend. The merged Lobsterpalooza: Art Edition and Trenton Art Festival ran through Sept. 20, turning city blocks into open-air galleries and dining spots.

"This is all about bringing the community together and nothing brings the community out more than all you can eat lobster, large murals, and an art fair," said Michelle Tanguay, The Chief Creative Officer for The Mural People, according to ClickOnDetroit.

Artists painted massive walls while vendors set up stalls across streets and squares. At Truago restaurant, steaming piles of fresh lobster drew crowds to their all-you-can-eat buffet.

With drink in hand, visitors wandered downtown paths during Sip & Stroll. They stopped to watch paint dry on fresh murals and browsed artwork displays that transformed ordinary streets.

This marked the first partnership between the two events. Street artists worked their magic next to food carts, creating an unusual mix of tastes and sights in the heart of town.

Before opening day, Truago's owner Jeremy Syrocki met with planners to taste-test menu items. His restaurant's lobster spread now stands as the main attraction for hungry festival-goers.

Paint brushes moved across walls as onlookers gathered. Block after block, artists turned blank spaces into striking scenes while crowds watched the process unfold.

The celebration continued until Sunday evening. Visitors found art displays, watched mural painting, and grabbed bites throughout the downtown area.
