During his Detroit weekend, Jimmy Fallon raved about Miller's Bar in Dearborn. After biting into their famous burger, the TV star couldn't contain his excitement. He shared his thoughts with millions of fans through social media on Sunday.
"One of the best burgers I've ever had (patty melt, onion rings and fries). You eat on a sheet of wax paper and if you want extras, you can get pickles in a Ziploc bag or raw onion wrapped in wax paper. Straight out of the '40s, this place is a must-go," wrote Fallon on Instagram Stories.
The NBC star made history at the Detroit Opera House on September 14. His show's first-ever Detroit recording aired Monday night, marking a big moment for the city.
Staff at Miller's jumped at the chance to snap a photo with their famous guest. They posted it on Facebook with pride per MLive: "Look who visited good ole Miller's for some burgers. Thanks for the visit Jimmy Fallon."
The TV host didn't stop there. He tried Buddy's Pizza, a local institution since 1946 that started the Detroit-style pizza craze. During the show's taping, he also praised She Wolf Italian restaurant.
Local stars lit up the special Detroit show. Southfield's own Keegan-Michael Key shared the stage with Detroit Pistons player Cade Cunningham. Rapper Common and Lions star Aiden Hutchinson added to the star power.
Before the evening show, Fallon caught the Lions game with Key. It was quite a change from his usual spot at Studio 6B in New York's Rockefeller Center.
