Beer shops got four types from O&W Inc.: the classic Traditional Lager, Light Lager, Black & Tan, and Flight. Buyers snatched up nearly 40,000 cases before Monday's official start - a sign of the brand's pull in new markets.
"You've been asking. You've been tagging. Even road-tripping across state lines. Now, we're coming to you," said Tom Junod, director of business development at Yuengling Brewery, per WXYZ. "To the rest of Michigan — we see you, we hear you. We're just getting started."
Metro Detroit bars and restaurants got first dibs last month. Now, three main wholesalers push the brand to stores. The quick sellouts show how much locals wanted these drinks.
"This launch is not only a milestone for Michigan beer lovers, but also a defining moment in my career," said Jamie Wanty-Keeder, vice president of marketing at O&W, Inc., according to Fox 2 Detroit. "To be part of bringing America's Oldest Brewery to Michigan and seeing this level of excitement and demand is truly special."
By summer 2026, the brand plans to sell statewide. Beer fans in every Michigan town will get their shot at these brews.
