A fresh take on dinner and movies arrives at Detroit's Cambria Hotel this September 12, 2025. The event mixes big-screen magic with tasty food right when it shows up in the film.

Fork n' Film starts its Michigan run with "Ratatouille" at Balla Ultra Lounge. As scenes play out, servers bring matching dishes to guests. The timing adds extra punch to the food scenes.

"'Ratatouille' is the perfect kickoff — a celebration of food, passion, and storytelling," said Francesca Dunca, Co-CEO at Fork n' Film, according to Click on Detroit. "Our goal is to blur the line between the screen and the plate, so the audience doesn't just watch the movie — they taste it."

Starting this Friday, the downtown spot will host 40 guests per night. Each guest starts with bubbly and fresh popcorn before the main event kicks off.

"We're thrilled to be bringing Fork n' Film to Michigan for the first time," said Nicole Miller, General Manager at Cambria Detroit Downtown, per Michigan Chronicle. "Cambria is about delivering elevated, memorable experiences to our guests, and this series perfectly reflects that."

Christopher Kouza, who runs Cambria Detroit with his business partner, wants more than just beds and rooms. "Our vision has always been to create a destination that offers more than just a place to stay. Fork n' Film is the perfect addition to our amenities."

The show runs strong in major cities like New York and Los Angeles. After "Ratatouille" wraps up, more films will hit the screen - from old favorites to holiday hits.

Want in? It costs $199.99 plus a small fee. That gets you several courses of good food, with choices for plant-based diets too. October 11 still has spots open, but other nights are filling fast.
