Oakland County Packed With Over 15 Community Events and Festivals Throughout September

This September brings a wave of events to Oakland County. Starting September 11, Troy Family Daze transforms the Civic Center into a four-day celebration with rides, music, and local food stands.

At 241 Town Center, Troy Family Daze runs September 11-14. A grand parade starts from Walsh College on September 13 at 10 a.m. That night, bright bursts of color will fill the sky at 9:30 p.m with a fireworks show. Adults pay $5 daily, while children under 10 enter free.

Downtown Ortonville springs to life September 13, as Septemberfest fills streets from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can shop at stalls, sip drinks in the beer tent, catch live shows, and check out shiny vintage cars from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Good causes take center stage too. Blood donors can give at the Battle of the Badges drive September 10 at Farmington Hills' Costick Activities Center. 

The Birmingham House Tour opens its doors September 11, with tickets starting at $49.

The Detroit Zoo hosts the Walk for Miracles September 13. Money raised helps Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Corewell Health Children's. Adults join for $12, kids ages 2-11 for $8.

Small business owners can learn new tech skills at free workshops September 16 and 30. The Oakland County Executive Office Building sessions teach ways to use AI tools effectively.

Knights and fair maidens still rule at the Michigan Renaissance Festival, open weekends through September 28. Find the medieval fun at 12600 Dixie Highway in Holly. Cars park for $15 plus fees.

Book lovers should stop by White Lake Township Library's sale September 11-13. 

The Troy Historic Village welcomes guests to a no-cost Fall Open House September 13, while pets wait for new homes outside.
